Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Welcome to Storybuild. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Storybuild, including our website, applications, AI-powered ebook creation tools and related services.
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or otherwise using Storybuild, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the service.
1. About Storybuild
Storybuild provides AI-powered tools that help users create, write, design, format and export ebooks and other digital content.
Storybuild is operated in the United Kingdom.
You can contact us at:
Email: hello@trystorybuild.com
Website: trystorybuild.com
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use Storybuild.
By using Storybuild, you confirm that the information you provide when creating your account is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.
3. Your Account
You may need to create an account to access certain Storybuild features.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and login credentials and for activity carried out through your account.
You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We may suspend or restrict accounts where we reasonably believe there has been misuse, fraud, a security risk or a breach of these Terms.
4. The Storybuild Service
Storybuild uses artificial intelligence and other technologies to assist with creating content including:
- ebooks
- guides
- reports
- workbooks
- courses
- fiction
- book covers
- titles, outlines and written content
AI-generated content may contain mistakes, inaccuracies or unexpected results.
You are responsible for reviewing, editing and verifying your content before publishing, distributing or selling it.
We do not guarantee that generated content will be factually accurate, original, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
5. Ownership of Your Content
As between you and Storybuild, you retain ownership of the information, ideas, instructions and other content you provide to Storybuild.
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, Storybuild does not claim ownership of the ebooks or other content you create using the service.
You may use content you create through Storybuild for personal or commercial purposes, including publishing and selling it.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of generated content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of another person.
Because artificial intelligence can produce similar outputs for different users, we cannot guarantee that generated content will be unique or that another user will not receive similar content.
6. Your Responsibilities
You must not use Storybuild to create, upload, distribute or promote content that:
- infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights
- is unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive
- impersonates another person without authorization
- violates another person's privacy or legal rights
- contains malicious software or attempts to interfere with the service
- is otherwise prohibited by applicable law
You are responsible for the content you create and for how you publish, market, distribute or sell it.
7. Publishing and Third-Party Platforms
Storybuild may allow you to create content intended for platforms such as Amazon KDP, Etsy, Gumroad, Shopify, Apple Books or other marketplaces and websites.
Storybuild is not affiliated with or endorsed by these platforms unless expressly stated otherwise.
Each third-party platform has its own rules, policies and content requirements. You are responsible for ensuring that your content complies with the requirements of any platform where you choose to publish or sell it.
We cannot guarantee that a third-party platform will approve, accept, rank or continue hosting content created using Storybuild.
8. Earnings and Results
Storybuild provides tools for creating digital products. We do not guarantee that you will make money from content created using Storybuild.
Any examples, testimonials, revenue figures or customer results displayed on our website represent individual experiences and should not be interpreted as a promise or guarantee of future earnings.
Your results may depend on factors including the quality of your content, topic, pricing, marketing, audience, distribution platform and market demand.
9. Subscriptions
Some Storybuild features require a paid subscription.
The price, features and usage allowances included with each plan will be shown before you purchase.
Unless stated otherwise, paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period using your selected payment method until you cancel.
You can cancel your subscription before your next renewal date to prevent the next recurring payment.
After cancellation, you will normally retain access to your paid plan until the end of your current paid billing period.
Your ebooks and content that you have already downloaded remain yours after cancellation.
10. Credits and Usage Allowances
Storybuild may use credits or other usage allowances to measure access to AI generation features.
The number of credits required for particular actions may vary depending on the feature, content type or resources required.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, credits:
- have no cash value
- cannot be transferred between users
- cannot be exchanged for money
- may expire or reset according to the terms of your plan
We may change the number of credits required for future generations or features. Any material changes affecting paid plans will be communicated where required.
11. Payments
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe.
By purchasing a paid Storybuild service, you authorize us and our payment provider to charge the applicable fees and any taxes disclosed during checkout.
You are responsible for keeping your payment information accurate and up to date.
Prices may change from time to time. Any changes affecting an existing subscription will be communicated before they take effect where required by law.
12. Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription through the cancellation options provided within your account or by contacting us at hello@trystorybuild.com.
Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for amounts already paid.
However, nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, refund or other rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
Where you have a statutory right to cancel, we will honor that right in accordance with applicable law.
13. Availability of the Service
We aim to keep Storybuild available and operating reliably but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
From time to time, we may need to modify, maintain, update or temporarily suspend parts of the service.
AI generation may also depend on third-party technology providers and infrastructure outside our direct control.
We may modify or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. Where a change materially affects a paid service, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users where appropriate.
14. Intellectual Property
The Storybuild website, software, branding, logos, interface, design and other materials created by Storybuild are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not give you ownership of the Storybuild platform, software, trademarks or branding.
You may not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Storybuild service except where permitted by law or with our written permission.
15. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback about Storybuild, you allow us to use that feedback to improve and develop our products and services without an obligation to compensate you.
This does not transfer ownership of your ebooks or other user-created content to Storybuild.
16. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
To the extent permitted by law, Storybuild is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or for decisions you make based on AI-generated content.
If you use Storybuild for business purposes, we will not be responsible for indirect or consequential business losses such as loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities or anticipated savings to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
17. Termination
You may stop using Storybuild at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access to Storybuild where we reasonably believe you have materially breached these Terms, used the service unlawfully, created a security risk or engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity.
Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before terminating an account.
Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including provisions relating to intellectual property, liability and existing payment obligations, will continue to apply.
18. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
By using Storybuild, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled in accordance with that policy and applicable data protection law.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to Storybuild, our business or applicable law.
The latest version will always be published on our website with the date it was last updated.
If we make material changes that significantly affect your rights or an existing paid service, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections provided by the laws of the country in which you live and nothing in these Terms removes those protections.
Any disputes will be handled by the courts with jurisdiction under applicable law.
